I've meant to post this, but just got around to downloading pics. Last week Butter and I did our first wet on wet painting. It's a method practiced in waldorf education that I think is amazing. We ordered special paints and a painting board, although I think you can achieve the same result without both of these. I will say that the board was very helpful in drying the papar..we just left it there! First we mixed the paints, and then I wet the paper. Now I'd read that you actually soak the paper in water, so I got it rather wet, but since then, I've read you only need to wet it thoroughly with a sponge. However, it did work, but was maybe a bit more wet than necessary:) The neat thing about this method is the way the colors come "alive." Butter was very excited about the "moving painting" and it's now on our weekly schedule.

I think you should post more about the waldorf system. it is not really explained. ? cute pix, tho.
