My version of the 365

Okay I'm going to try it. I finally got the camera I've been wanting FOR.EVER. so I'm taking lots more photos and ones I'm not terribly embarrassed to post. I love the 365 blogs, but doubt I can hang with posting everyday, just not me. Maybe one day, but I'm working on routines elsewhere in my life is much more important. So I'm committing to one day a week. One day a week I'll load up some pics and what we've been up to and blah, blah. I doubt anyone reads this anymore so it's mostly for me to chronicle pics.

This week we got out the beeswax again...it's been ages and all 3 kids loved it.

We drank yummy hot chocolate and made a great banana bread, started washing our dishes after every meal which the kids were Thrilled to do and began using our blessing candle in earnest. 

Disaster areas...

I'm determined to organize the problem spots in my house, you know those areas already in such disarray that they are just left that way. They are an eyesore, a sigh, a constant source of frustration each time you go there to find something you determine to clean up the mess, stop the madness. except that you don't. You live with it. Shut the drawer, close the door, dump it in a random container and go on scrubbing the floor, doing the dishes, sorting the laundry, um homeschool your 3 wily kids...

I'm hoping that by posting pictures of some of my trouble areas I will be motivated to post after pics of the CLEANED up mess. We'll see, it's worth a try;)

This is a buffet in the kitchen and a magnet for all thing I don't know what to do with. This is actually a clean-er photo!

The old pantry. Again, an example of the shove-it-in-somewhere affliction.

This is supposed to a place for homeschool audio and daily homeschool couch reading...Uh hmm...

The top the television armoire. Now I do keep this clean. Everyone else messes it up. It's clean now, but it ws a wreck when I was snapping these horrible pics so I included.

 

 

This built in is in the den which right now is the baby's room and will soon be the school room so it WILL be cleaned out...SOON!

 

The bathroom linen closet. This is our only bathroom storage until I make a trip to IKEA to replace our vanity and add a small linen closet to hold daily-used tolietries.

 

So there you have it. Yuck. Makes me want to clean and organize...kind of.

 

 

 

Moved

So I disappeared again from this sad little blog.  So as soon as we got the garden in the ground and running we went on vaca AND bought a new house. Let's see, we bought a new house and sold, actually in eight more days, our old house and in between all of that we started a new homeschooling year and a co-op and have tried to settle in. We LOVE our new house and I'm going to give a blog tour soon and start blogging again more often. My camera has also been full and I've not wanted to download pics to my computer until I get new software...lame I know.

And the season begins...

So the tree is resting, lights are being hung, the first gingerbread loaf was eaten, and the nativity scene is on the move:) Next week we will get ready for Saint Nicholas by reading all about him, doing some crafts, and of course setting out our shoe/stockings. I'm off to find some old wool sweaters in a Christmas theme and I'll post pics if what I want to achieve works out. A waldorf board I hang out on posted this great source for chocolate letters and ours came the other day; I CAN'T wait for Thursday.
